Can I Get Probation?
Yes, if you don't score prison.
Probation is a sentence, which means you have been found guilty and the court has imposed a sanction. This is different from pretrial release, pretrial supervision/bond/bail.
Probation is an alternative to jail and the least onerous sanction a court can impose.
More restrictive sanctions than probation are: house arrest or community control, where you are under constant and regular supervision and your activities are limited to work and home.
While on probation you check-in once a week with your probation officer. You and your home are subject to random checks and searches. You have no constitutional rights to object to a search conducted by your probation officer.
